About Us

The goal of the Mills County Endowment Fund is to improve the quality of life in Mills County by supporting needs that are not being met in the areas of civic, cultural, health, education and social service.

The Harrison County Endowment Fund was formed in 1997 as an affiliate of the Omaha Community Foundation. The founding members of the organization had a vision to ensure that our county’s charitable programs were supported now - and in the future. We work together with many individuals, families, business, and organizations to establish endowment funds that will provide grant awards for years to come.

Mills County Endowment Fund receives $50,000 matching grant from the Southwest Iowa Foundation.  From right to left:  Dennis Nissen, Robert Woodfill, Wanda Williams, Bob Schoening, Dr. Jacque Young, and Jay Burdic.

The Mills County Endowment Fund is governed by a local advisory board that is active in our local communities. Members of our advisory board are:

Jay Burdic, Vice Chair Robert K. Schoening
Wanda Williams, Secretary/Treasurer Robert Woodfill
Dr. Jacque Young, Chair Keith Johnson
