About Us

The goal of the Shelby County Endowment Fund is to improve the quality of life in Shelby County by supporting needs that are not being met in the areas of civic, cultural, health, education and social service.

The Shelby County Endowment Fund was formed in 1997 as an affiliate of the Omaha Community Foundation. The founding members of the organization had a vision to ensure that our county’s charitable programs were supported now- and in the future. We work together with many individuals, families, business, and organizations to establish endowment funds that will provide grant awards for years to come.

The Shelby County Endowment Fund is governed by a local advisory board that is active in our local communities. Members of our advisory board are: Robert Hall, Don Holdsworth, Frank Powers, Lonnie Muxfeldt, Tom Cannon, and Dave Robinson.
