Frank Powers, Chair of the Shelby County Community Foundation, announced today that at the board meeting the board established a September 1, 2009 grant deadline for the $47,187 available for Shelby County nonprofit agencies through a grant application process. Application procedures and grant guidelines can be obtained online at www.iowacommunityfoundations.org/shelbycef. Contact any board member for additional information. The original signed grant application must be emailed to grants@omahafoundation.org or mailed to the foundation office at 302 South 36th Street, Suite 100, Omaha, NE 68131 no earlier than August 15, 2009 with a final deadline of September 1, 2009. Previous versions of the application form will not be accepted. A second complete application must be mailed to Frank Powers, Defiance State Bank, 201 Main Avenue, Defiance, IA 51527-0279.
