McCurdy Scholar Announced!

The Cass County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that the Dustin McCurdy Endowed Scholarship Fund scholar has been selected.  The McCurdy scholar will receive a scholarship award in the amount of $500 for tuition at a school of the student’s choice.  The McCurdy scholar is Stephanie Schwenke from Cumberland-Anita-Massena High School.  

Board members of the Cass County Community Foundation are: Chair, Nicholas Hunt of rural Atlantic; Vice Chair, Gary Maas, of Massena; Secretary/Treasurer, Roland K. Landsness, Esq. of Atlantic; Royal Bierbaum of rural Griswold; Mark D. Kyhnn, CPA of Atlantic; and Beulah Follmann of Massena.

Dustin McCurdy Memorial Scholarship
The Dustin McCurdy Memorial Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors who attend the Cumberland Anita Massena school district may apply.  Only students who are enrolled in a two or four year degreed or certified program may apply.  Graduates of these programs receive certificates, diplomas, or Associate in Applied Science degrees.  The criterion for a McCurdy Scholar gives preference to a student with a successful high school academic career along with demonstrated extra-curricular school activities and/or community service volunteerism.
