Harrison County Endowment Fund

The Harrison County Endowment Fund is a community foundation for Harrison County. It was established in 1997 and is affiliated with the Omaha Community Foundation. This relationship eliminates the need for each of nine affiliates in Southwest Iowa to maintain a separate IRS tax status. Collectively, they are known as the Endowment Funds of Southwest Iowa. It allows Harrison County to benefit from the Omaha Community Foundation’s staff and expertise.

The Harrison County Endowment Fund is managed by a local advisory board. The funds contributed are used to assist programs that support historical, cultural, environmental, educational and recreational objectives within the county. Harrison County nonprofit organizations can also use the fund as a source of long-term financial assistance.

For good. For Harrison County. For ever.
