Grant Information
The is here to help our community’s charitable projects and programs contribute to the quality of life in our area. One of the ways that is done is through grantmaking. The Dallas County Foundation currently has one grantmaking cycle each year.
The Dallas County Foundation accepts grant applications from charitable projects and programs impacting a wide range of needs in the community- arts and culture, health, human services, community betterment, historic preservation, etc. For more information, please contact us.
2007 Grant Awards Eleven projects received funding in 2007 for a total of $50,000: · Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce: $7,500 Community stage and pavilion
· Perry Community Schools: $5,500 Athletic fields/soccer fields
· City of Dexter: $5,500 Cabinets for the Historic Community House
· Granger Fire Department: $5,000 Communication pagers
· Adel Fire Department: $5,000 Jaws of Life tools · Van Meter Recreation Foundation: $5,000 ADA restroom facilities
· City of Bouton: $4,000 Softball complex restroom facilities
· De Soto Public Library: $3,300 Computers
· Dallas County Care Facility, Inc.: $3,000 Computers
· Perry Community Schools: $3,000 Diversified art collection displays
· Adel Public Library: $3,200 Children’s library shelving and book bins
2006 Grant Awards Six projects received funding in 2006 for a total of $42,500: · Dallas County Conservation Board: $11,250 Dawson Depot Restoration
· Dallas County Local Housing Trust Fund: $10,000 Housing rehabilitation program
· Perry Public Library: $6,250 Bi-lingual books and instruction materials
· Dexfield Park Preservation: $5,000 Historical marker project
· City of Adel Parks Board: $5,000 Playground equipment
· Friends of Granger Public Library: $5,000 Automated library management system
