The mission of the Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation (HCCEF) is to foster private giving, strengthen service providers and improve the conditions of the community, county or area of interest by coordinating and providing permanent resources to enhance arts and culture, health and human services, recreation and environment, youth development, education, and community betterment.
The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation was formed in 2005 as an affiliate of the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation. The founding members of the organization had a vision to ensure that our communities’ charitable programs were supported now- and in the future. We work together with many individuals, families, business, and organizations to establish endowment funds that will provide grant awards for years to come.
The Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation is governed by a local board of directors who are active in our local communities.

Carol Gilbert, Chair; Kristi Harris, Vice-Chair; Mike Nuss, Recording Secretary; Bobbi Meints, Corresponding Secretary; Bill Amundson; Sandy Berndt; Mark Boeke; Jim Johnson; Marlene McDonald; and Marsha Roland.
