The Boone County Community Endowment Fund receives, accepts and distributes funds for educational, cultural, civic and charitable purposes for the benefit of the greater community of Boone County, Iowa. Our goals are to assist qualified organizations through grant distributions, provide scholarships for post-secondary education and training, encourage individual and corporate involvement through gifts and bequests and to administer and invest funds for the creations of perpetual opportunities and services.
The Boone County Community Endowment was formed in 2005 as an affiliate of the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation. The founding members of the organization had a vision to ensure that our communities’ charitable programs were supported now- and in the future. We work together with many individuals, families, business, and organizations to establish endowment funds that will provide grant awards for years to come.
The Boone County Community Endowment is governed by a local board of directors who are active in our local communities. Members of our board of directors are: Chip Baltimore, Earl Check, Lisa Kobernusz, Margaret Liston, Reuben Peterson, Kim Rinker and Lorraine Safly.
