About Us
Madrid Community Endowment Fund

Mission: Our mission is to serve the 50156 zip code area, which includes the city of Madrid and the surrounding rural area in Boone, Dallas and Polk Counties, by leading the community and supporting other charitable organizations in meeting a wide variety of community needs including the areas of human services, arts and culture, education and community betterment.

The Madrid Community Endowment Fund was formed in 2004 as an affiliate of the Greater Des Moines Community Foundation. The founding members of the organization had a vision to ensure that our community’s charitable programs were supported now- and in the future. We work together with many individuals, families, business, and organizations to establish endowment funds that will provide grant awards for years to come.

The Madrid Community Endowment Fund is governed by a local board of directors who are active in our local community. Members of our board of directors are:

John Pierce, Chair
Rebecca Roorda, Vice Chair
Janet Neumann, Secretary
Suzanne Lincoln, Treasurer
Thomas Wilcox, Publicist
